Reading Charlene Spretnak's "the spiritual dynamic in Modern Art", p76, where she mentions the project idea in 1912 by
Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Mark to create an illustrated edition of The Bible as part of the Blue Rider movement.
They invited other prominent artists including Paul Klee, but the project didn't come to fruition. However, it illustrated a link being made for modern art to address directly the religious traditions...
How my Perennial Wisdom project has a common foundation of interest.
Who and where might there have been other s similar initiatives over the years?!
Asking Spretnak this question and planning to reach out to her as an adviser, will be important next steps in my adventure with this project.
